Daily Dosage | Brunch with Friends

Every so often, a woman needs to connect with her friends over savory breakfast food and sweet drinks. The perfect time for this is on a Sunday Afternoon while the lull of the weekend wares off. Today, I met up with a friend at a cafe called Campos on Edison Street in Salt Lake City. This tucked away cafe had bright open windows with gorgeous artistic interior that makes it simple and stimulating. They have a great menu filled with assorted spritzers, teas and coffees that could satisfy any craving. My friend and I both got eggs Benedict made slightly different from each other, and nothing about it was disappointing.

We spent the next few hours chatting about life, marriage, TV shows and movies. Our phones were outside of reach in our pockets as we laughed and recalled memories from the past, pet peeves or personal epiphanies we've had lately. It was nice to take a break for a while, time wasn't an issues as nothing else needed to be planned for the day. We just enjoyed each other's company without a worry about what time it was. We agreed that this needed to happen more often and invite others to join us. In this constantly growing world where it seems necessary to always be ahead of everyone else, it feels good take a step out of the race and look at how far you've already come. Appreciate the work that you've done and take in the little moments like this; they will mean so much more in the long run.
