Manila Diary | Week Eleven | Working from Home and Exploring Quiapo

This week, Blake and I worked on developing a written, outlined program for the next group of interns coming down to Manila. We want to make sure that they feel well prepared and equipped with any and all information we can give them. We spent a lot of time on our computers, compiling pictures, basic information, rules, schedules, client profiles and a structured spreadsheet of centers. Our work is just about done, but there's a few finishing touches I need to complete.

We traveled to Quiapo on Saturday. I think of Quiapo as the "New York City" of the Philippines. People filled the streets, shoulder to shoulder. Taller buildings with big over hanging advertisements underneath the train tracks that weaved around the roads. We went inside a big beautiful Catholic church and listened in for awhile. Outside the streets were filled with trinkets and charms and we spent an hour sorting through it all. It was nice to be out of the house for awhile, especially with good company! Only 2 weeks left until I fly home!

Thanks for Reading!
Love, Nick
